ESTERO ISLAND RESORTS
The Casa Playa Hotel was completed in 1998 and opened to rave reviews, particularly due to its distinctive murals created by local artist Angela Savko. Ms. Savko spent almost 4 months on scaffolding and in the bucket truck designing what is today the premier landmark on the north side of Estero Island.
After being purchased by Cornerstone Investments in 2002, the units were transformed into suites and sold as condominiums. Managed by Estero Island Resorts, Casa Playa was renamed Casa Playa Resort and the suites are presently rented out on a nightly, weekly and even monthly basis. The first two floors of the resort are our pet floors where pets of any size are welcome. There are a total of 34 non-smoking units: 14 luxury 1 bedroom suites and 7 romantic king studios which look onto the emerald waters of the Gulf while the 14 effeciencies with either a king size bed or two extra long double beds face our beautiful Estero Bay. The efficiencies may be connected to provide 2 bedroom/2 bath units. On either side of the building, guest may sit on their private screened balconies and enjoy the amazing views.
Because of its success, Cornerstone Investments bought the Bay to Beach Resort just two blocks south of the Casa Playa Resort and in 2003 began its extensive renovations. Everything including the dry wall was replaced. After 6 months, Bay to Beach Resort with now only 14 non-smoking units, opened its doors to guests in December 2003. There are four different suite types. Two of the fourteen are 1 bedroom while the rest are two bedroom units. Each is decorated with Robb and Stucky furnishings, have marble floors, custom kitchens with corian or granite counter tops, and most feature plasma TVs. All have large balconies with wet bars facing the glimmering waters of the Gulf. It is truly an elegant, luxurious setting, perfect for couples and families that expect the best and just want to relax and enjoy the simple things in life.
Cornerstone Investments did not stop at just two resorts. Presently under construction, Cornerstone Beach Resort is due to open its doors Spring of 2004. Located mid-island, this upscale 12 suite resort will provide guests with luxury accommodations in the quiet residential area of Fort Myers Beach. Close to our new grocery store, Publix, it will be ideal for families and couples staying for a week or longer who want the safe and beautiful beaches of our island, and not necessarily the proximity to Time Square which is the downtown area of Fort Myers Beach.
Finally, plans for White Cap Beach Resort are under way. It too will be located mid-island and is sure to be just as successful as the rest.
All these resorts are and will be managed by Estero Island Resorts. We believe every guest deserves the very best in accommodations. Our mission is to provide an enjoyable, clean, friendly and distinctive environment creating positive lasting memories for our guests.
